Governor Charlie Crist and Florida Legislators realize the high impact that productions such as “Up in the Air” have on the local economy and the many jobs they provide. Representative Stephen Precourt and Senator Mike Haridopolos have introduced legislation to change Florida’s current cash rebate to a 3-year, $225 million transferable tax credit incentive. A more consistent and reliable multi-year program will bring the state more and larger budget film, television series, and digital media projects. This commitment to consistency and investment will allow Florida to attract and incentivize more productions.
