THE CHILDREN OF THE FRENCH CINEMA
Holds Café Cinematheque and regular screenings at the following Florida locations: Boca Raton, Jupiter, Melbourne, Miami, Palm Beach, Sarasota, West Palm Beach.
One Sunday a month begins with breakfast, followed by a screening of a fine French movie in French with English subtitles and concludes with a debate, in English, about the film.
This program offers students and community filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their work and participate in the discussions and networking that follows each screening. The free Forums are held the second Saturday of every month at 9:30 am, and are open to the public.
For many aspiring filmmakers, finding a place to exhibit your work is the hardest part of the whole filmmaking process. That´s why the Sarasota Film Society proudly presents another year of the Filmmakers´ Forum. Now filmmakers and film enthusiasts can come together and share their love of the film arts. Each month, a selected panel of artists assembles in Burns Court Cinema to show and discuss their projects. Filmmakers´ Forum presents a perfect opportunity to network with local filmmakers and members of the community in a casual, positive environment. For more information, call Magida Diouri at (941) 364-8662.
Submissions accepted for any of the following forums on VHS tape along with contact information and a brief synopsis for consideration. If accepted, the films can be screened in several formats including mini-DV or VHS.
