This will leave only $2,296,704 in the Senate's recommended budget for the Entertainment Incentive. Currently, the House has $10 million in their recommended budget and the Governor has $4.5 million.
Additionally, the Senate has rolled back the operating budget for the Office of Film & Entertainment to $403,296. Currently, both the House and the Governor have recommended that the OFE's operating budget be increased to $653,296, which will allow us to not only administer the entertainment incentive but also market Florida as a world class production center.
It is imperative that the film and entertainment industry immediately contact Senator Fasano and the other members of the Transportation & Economic Development Appropriations Committee and ask them not to pass this amendment and at least meet the Governor on his budget recommendations.
