FilmGate Interactive Media Festival presents a weekend of mixed and virtual reality experiences from around the planet, February 3rd through 5th at the University of Miami. FilmGate welcomes film studios, advertising agencies, actors, filmmakers and curious audiences to learn, create and explore the fusion of storytelling and technology and experience their filmmaker gear expo. The Jump/Cut Film Challenge is presented by the Silver Springs International Film Festival, now in its fourth year, and Ocala Film Foundation. Together the Festival and Foundation have returned nearly $50,000 to the region, in scholarships and classroom grants for media arts students/teachers and cash incentives for Florida filmmakers.
